The word “psychotherapy” has its roots in ancient Greek: “psyche” meaning soul/spirit/breath and “therapia” meaning healing.
I see the work we do together as taking care of the soul at its deepest level. I look for the inherent health and wisdom that is held in all of your life experiences and attend to this co-creative process in a way that deeply honors all aspects of your Self.
I will compassionately support you on your journey by offering thoughtful inquiry, using expressive arts to help you to look at core issues, using humor and incorporating mindfulness in our sessions.
This quote by Joseph Campbell speaks to how I view each person on life's incredible journey. It is especially applicable when you have chosen to dedicate time to examine and understand your motivations, longings, values, and internal obstacles as you are called to make important decisions during inevitable, often challenging, and sometimes exciting transitions.
There is a great mystery to this unfolding that can often be unpredictable and feel like "entering an abyss." But with compassionate presence, we can bring light (awareness) to these unknown places and increase your deep sense of knowing. I see my role as supporting your natural process towards evolution so that you move towards a deeper satisfaction on your life path. I am dedicated to being aware of your unique needs.
I also offer more spiritually based healing modalities, and invite you to learn more about Shamanic Counseling on my website: Elemental Wisdom.

"Everyone is a hero. This is a given.
We have a call to adventure.
A crisis ensues.
We cannot turn back-and we answer the call.
We collect helpers, teachers, guides.
And we cross the threshold into the unknown.
We lose our identity and enter an abyss, a nadir, the belly of a whale.
We begin traveling back home to what we have known-
re-crossing the threshold.
We have changed."
